Respiratory Care Equipment
New York Home Health Care employs a staff of experienced respiratory therapists, many of whom have advanced degrees. Their professional experiences include emergency care, hospital care, and long term health care, as well as home care.
Services are provided to both home care patients/families and to facilities utilizing our equipment. Some of those services are:
Home Care
- Careful equipment use instruction to patients, families, and staff
- Routine follow up to insure proper utilization of equipment
- 24 hour on call respiratory therapy staff for equipment questions
- Quality assurance documentation that meets JCAHO requirements
- Patient evaluation to ensure needs are met
- Communication with physicians
Nursing Homes
- Evaluations for pre-admission screening of ventilator-dependent patients in hospitals
- Respiratory therapy consultations for in house residents for appropriateness of equipment.
- Staff in-service training on any respiratory topic
- Consultations with a licensed, registered respiratory therapist with a master's degree in health care administration and a working knowledge of nursing home operations, requirements, and general policy and procedures
